There are few milestones in life quite like graduating from high school.
It's a season filled with excitement, anticipation, and just a little uncertainty. One chapter is coming to a close, while another is waiting to begin. Whether the future holds college, a career, military service, travel, or something entirely unexpected, this moment deserves to be celebrated.
One of the things I love most about photographing seniors is knowing that these portraits become so much more meaningful with time.
When I look back at my own senior portraits, I don't just remember what I looked like. I remember who I was. I remember my dreams, my friendships, the places I spent my time, and the feeling that the whole world was waiting for me. A single photograph has the incredible ability to bring all of those memories rushing back.
That's the magic of senior portraits.
High school is one of the last seasons of life that nearly everyone shares. After graduation, our paths begin to take us in completely different directions. We move to new places, meet new people, build careers, start families, and discover parts of ourselves we never knew existed. We grow in ways we could never have imagined.
Senior portraits preserve that remarkable moment in between—when you're no longer a child, but not quite the person you're going to become.
My goal is to create photographs that feel authentic to who you are right now. Whether you're adventurous, artistic, athletic, quiet, confident, or somewhere in between, we'll create a session that reflects your personality and celebrates what makes you unique. From beaches and city streets to flower fields, parks, or meaningful locations, we'll choose a setting that tells your story.

And they'll remind you of the incredible journey that was still waiting to unfold.
When You're Nervous... You're Not Alone
Some of My Favorite Senior Sessions Start with, "I Really Don't Like Having My Picture Taken."
Not every senior arrives excited to be in front of the camera.
In fact, one of my favorite sessions began with a young man who was incredibly nervous. He came with one outfit, no grand plan, and plenty of uncertainty. Like so many seniors, he worried about looking awkward and hoped the pictures would somehow turn out okay.
I understood exactly how he felt.
Senior portraits feel like such a big deal when you're seventeen or eighteen. They're the photographs your classmates will see in the yearbook, the ones your family will frame, and the images that often become your first "adult" portrait. It's completely normal to want everything to be perfect.
The wonderful thing is...you don't have to know how to pose or what to do.
That's my job.
Throughout the session, we talked, laughed, walked around, and took things one step at a time. Little by little, his confidence grew. The nervous smiles became genuine ones. The stiff poses turned into natural moments. He simply relaxed and allowed himself to be who he was.
By the end of the session, the photographs were everything we had hoped for—not because he suddenly became a model, but because he trusted the process and let his personality shine through.
I think that's one of the biggest misconceptions about photography. The best portraits aren't created by people who are naturally comfortable in front of the camera. They're created when someone feels comfortable enough to forget the camera is there.
So if you're reading this and thinking, "I hate having my picture taken," you're probably exactly the kind of person I love photographing.

A Senior Session Full of Personality
When Confidence, Creativity, and Fun Come Together
One of my favorite senior sessions was with a young woman who came prepared to make the most of every minute. She arrived with multiple outfits, a big smile, and an adventurous spirit, and together we created a gallery filled with incredible variety.
From casual portraits to dressier looks and even photographs celebrating her love of lacrosse, every outfit and location brought out a different side of her personality. She was willing to try new ideas, laugh through the unexpected moments, and trust the creative process. Even with several outfit changes, she made everything look effortless—and somehow managed to change faster than I could set up the next shot!
Sessions like these are some of my favorites because they tell a complete story. You're not just one version of yourself. You're an athlete, a student, a friend, an artist, a musician, a dreamer, or maybe a little bit of everything. Senior year is the perfect time to celebrate all of those pieces.
My goal is never to create twenty versions of the same photograph. I want you to leave with a gallery that feels dynamic and uniquely yours—a collection of images that captures your personality, your interests, your style, and the excitement of this incredible milestone.
The seniors who walk away happiest are often the ones who embrace the experience. They bring ideas, favorite outfits, meaningful props, and an open mind. Those sessions become less about posing for the camera and more about celebrating who they are at this exciting moment in life.
