Why I Photograph
My life has moved through many chapters—different places, seasons, and versions of myself. From traveling and starting over to building a family of my own, each phase has shaped the way I see and value photographs. Now, as a parent to two young children, I’m especially aware of how quickly everyday moments pass and how meaningful they become with time.
My kids love sitting with our family albums. They study faces, ask questions, and listen to stories about who we were before them. Those images don’t matter because they’re perfect—they matter because they hold emotion, connection, and truth. That perspective guides my work.
I’m drawn to photographs that feel lived-in and natural—the quiet after the chaos, the subtle interactions that often go unnoticed. I focus on connection over posing, light over perfection, and moments that unfold organically. I believe the most meaningful images are created when people feel at ease, present, and surrounded by good energy.
My hope is that the photographs we create together won’t just live on your walls or screens, but in albums your children will one day flip through—asking questions, learning where they came from, and feeling the love that surrounded them.
